As I have been brought up in a Cantonese family, Chee Cheong Fun, 猪肠粉, is one of my favorite food. Recently, there is a shop newly opened in Gala City Kuching, called 潮汕肠粉. We decided to give it a try.

There was a small pot filling with the paste which looks like the mixture of chili and bean paste on the table.

Looking at the picture in the menu, it is different with Hong Kong style Cheong Fun. We ordered Singature Cheong Fun, Cheong Fan with "Special" Char Siew (BBQ pork), and Mushroom Siow Mai.

Both Cheong Fun's ingredients (Long Cabbage, Egg, Mushroom, Minced meat) is basically the same, except that there is char siew added for one of it. The Cheong Fun skin is quite thick and the portion is quite big.
Personally, I still prefer Hong Kong style cheong fun, which is having thinner skin in roll and topped with thick sweet sauce :)
