Staying at Palace of Golden Horses Hotel

I was attending Digital Forensics for First Responder training at CyberSecurity at Mines area, so I had a chance to stay vat Palace of Golden Horses hotel. My friends told me that it is a famous and quite high class hotel. When I checked in the room, the interior deco was good and I would say luxurious, however, the maintenance of the room seemed like long time ago.
Here they have free shuttle bus service to klcc and mines shopping mall, the time table can be acquired from the counter. They are having the water taxi service as well, from the hotel to mines wellness hotel, one way costs RM8, for every half an hour. Is a short walking distance from the mines wellness hotel to mines shopping fair.
They have good scenery and free shuttle bus service. The price considers reasonable.
Next time I might wanna try stay at mines wellness hotel. The scenery there looks nice too.

Whenever I crave for a plate of nice chicken rice, this is the place always popped up in my mind. They are serving only the chicken thigh and they only have 2 choices of menu, Normal (RM6.00) and Special (RM10.00). This is what made them efficient in serving the food to the customers. We ordered 2 Normal and 1 Special serving of chicken rices. They put all the serving in one plate. Quite a big portion I would say. There was pickled cucumber served as well. And each of us was served with one plate of rice, one bowl of salted vege soup (咸菜汤), 3 kind of sauces, Chili, Belacan and Dark Soya. I really love the rice and the chicken is tender and juicy!

潮汕肠粉 Chao Shan Chang Fen @Gala City Kuching

As I have been brought up in a Cantonese family, Chee Cheong Fun, 猪肠粉, is one of my favorite food. Recently, there is a shop newly opened in Gala City Kuching, called 潮汕肠粉. We decided to give it a try. The Menu The Menu There was a small pot filling with the paste which looks like the mixture of chili and bean paste on the table. Chili Bean Paste Looking at the picture in the menu, it is different with Hong Kong style Cheong Fun. We ordered Singature Cheong Fun, Cheong Fan with "Special" Char Siew (BBQ pork), and Mushroom Siow Mai.  Signature Cheong Fun Cheong Fun with Char Siew Mushroom Siow Bee Both Cheong Fun's ingredients (Long Cabbage, Egg, Mushroom, Minced meat) is basically the same, except that there is char siew added for one of it. The Cheong Fun skin is quite thick and the portion is quite big. Personally, I still prefer Hong Kong style cheong fun, which is having thinner skin in roll and topped with thick sweet sauce :)
